Dear readers,
Hello and welcome to another issue of our blog. Hope you are all doing well and brimming with curiosity to know more about the parts and components we stock at Proactive Components, Inc. So without further ado, let’s take a closer look at some of the parts for today:
Part No 15-1247b is a Radio Shack video A/B switch.
Radio shack is a manufacturer of wireless devices and consumer electronics that help people stay connected and in touch. It is one of the primary contenders in the market for mobility and personal technology with its innovative products and unique accessories that help in increasing connectivity.
An A/B switch is an extremely crucial television accessory that facilitates the connection of two RF coaxial cables into a single RF coaxial unit. A/B switches have RF inputs rather than an RCA and hence one can toggle between two different coaxial signals on a single viewing display or screen. These types of switches often come in simple designs like a metal case or complex arrangements such as a plastic design with remote control options. Using an A/B video switch one can maneuver between an antenna cable and a VCR, an antenna and an analogue cable or a camera output and a VCR.
Part No 15-124f1 is a switch access toggle switch with a knurled face nut. Eaton Corporation manufactures this switch. Eaton is an American multinational power management company that is also a leading provider of electronic components and systems used for power quality, transportation and control, hydraulic suspension equipment, industrial and mobile equipment, fuel for aerospace and technology for trucks, automotive drivetrains and power trains. A toggle switch is a marvel of modern electrical engineering. It is an electronic component that can interrupt or stop the current by diverting it from one conductor to the other, hence breaking an electric circuit. It is an electro mechanical device that is manually operated with one or more set of electrical contacts that are interconnected to an external circuit. The switch can be in two states, closed or open. When closed the contacts touch each other allowing the flow of current and when open the contacts are separated and the resulting non-conductivity breaks the circuit.
